Story
Sabrina is 10 years old and lives in Swindon. She was diagnosed with ALG1-CDG, a rare metabolic condition that affects the brain and body. Her journey hasn’t been easy, she lives with epilepsy, microcephaly, low muscle tone, and developmental delays, but Sabrina meets every challenge with a smile and a fierce determination to thrive.
We first launched this campaign with Just4Children when Sabrina was five, and thanks to your generosity, we have come so far. She’s now walking independently, attending school, and lighting up every room she enters. We are now just £5,000 away from our £20,000 target and hope to reach it with your continued support.
This refreshed campaign will help cover the next phase of Sabrina’s needs, to support her as she grows and as her needs evolve. We are raising funds for:
– Ongoing physiotherapy to improve strength, coordination, and balance
– Speech and language therapy to support her communication and expression
– Occupational therapy to develop daily living skills and independence
– Sensory Integration Therapy to help regulate her body and navigate the world with more ease
– Specialist osteopathy and spinal correction treatments to support posture and alignment
– Essential equipment such as supportive seating, walking aids, and sensory tools
– Home adaptations to make her living space safe, accessible, and empowering
Sabrina does have a voice. She has words, feelings, and a wicked sense of humour. While she can’t always express herself fully, she makes herself known, with spark, warmth, and presence.
Thank you for supporting Sabrina’s World. Every donation helps bring her closer to the life she deserves, a life of dignity, joy, and freedom.
