Story

This November, ShipMoney are taking on one of the world's most demanding treks, Everest Base Camp, to raise funds and show our commitment to seafarers' welfare.

It’s a serious undertaking, sixteen days, at altitude, in a mixed group of fundraisers with no connection to shipping. ShipMoney will be the only maritime company attempting it.

Shipping is navigating one of the most volatile periods in recent memory, from tension and attacks around the Strait of Hormuz to Red Sea disruption and rerouted trade, all of it adding risk, delay and strain to the seafarers on board. Wage security concerns, abandonment, extended crew changes and isolation at sea add to the strain.

Taking on the mountain for seafarers is a way of showing our commitment to their wellbeing and we are asking the rest of the industry to match that commitment.

We are asking our industry to get behind us and show up, every pound raised goes directly to Sailors' Society and the seafarers who need it most.

Seafarers Matter.

Thank you

Stuart Ostrow, President
