Story

Salesforce have teamed up with Barnardo's for our Step into Summer Challenge. Collectively we'll be virtually visiting our UKI Marketing Team members starting in Dublin, before travelling to London and Paris finishing virtually in Hamburg. Collectively the team will be walking, running and cycling 964 miles (1551 km).

UPDATE:- Having exceeded our target in just 3 weeks, we've decided to double our target distance and will be virtually covering the distance back to Dublin via Birmingham, a new team target of 2037 miles!

By supporting the Salesforce Team and donating to their challenge for Barnardo's you'll be helping Barnardo's to continue their vital work with vulnerable children, young people, parents and carers across the UK.

Woohooo!!! Time to crack open a Guinness or dance an Irish Jig, as the team have successfully completed over 2,000 miles and have virtually made it back to Dublin! Over 2,000 miles completed as a team in 6 weeks is an incredible achievement and one well worth celebrating. This page will be open for a few more weeks, for anyone wanting to make a celebratory donation to the teams epic achievement!

Five weeks down and the end is in sight! With over 1800 miles covered virtually the team have crossed the channel and passed through London. The return journey has featured a stop in Birmingham a city famous for it's bullring, Cadburys Chocolate and more recently Peaky Blinders. Definitely time for a well deserved refuel whether it's a bar of Cadbury's Dairy milk or a glass of Tommy Shelby's gin! With just over 200 miles to go will the team make it back to Dublin by next week.....

Week 4 and the team are virtually speeding their way back home, leaving Germany passing through the Netherlands and Belgium and even back through Paris with over 1400 miles completed! The team are well on their way home having reached Parc naturel regional du vexin on the outskirts of Paris, it's time for a quick picnic in the park and a refuel before crossing the channel and heading back to London!

Hallo from Hamburg! In just 3 weeks the team have made it virtually all the way to Hamburg! Time for celebratory Stein and a toast to the teams fantastic efforts! In fact over 1135 miles have been clocked up, meaning the team have passed their target of 964 miles! Having smashed the original target the team will now be virtually covering the distance all the way back to Dublin. Wish them well as they start the virtual journey back through Germany towards Paris!

Bonjour! Week two is complete and the team have covered over 300 more miles meaning they have crossed the channel (thankfully a virtual challenge doesn't involve covering yourself in goose fat and taking a dip between Dover and Calais). After a quick pitstop in Paris for a Coffee and croissant and are now heading towards Hamburg. The final stretch will see the team virtually pass through Belgium and the Netherlands before arriving in Hamburg, so a great excuse for some Belgium chocolates or a craft beer!

Week one is complete and the team have clocked up an incredible 331 miles, over a third of their total target and together they have virtually made it all the way to London! Time for a quick pitstop, with a cup of tea, a slice of cake or maybe an ice cream and it will be on to the next destination, Paris!
