Story
No baby should sleep in an unsafe bed.
But across Eccles and Salford, families in financial crisis are forced to put their babies down in unsafe places. Because they simply can’t afford a Moses basket or cot.
The Daughters of Salford Baby Bank exists to make sure no child starts life without the basics. We provide families in hardship with hygiene essentials, infant formula, and — most urgently — safe sleep equipment. Because a warm meal or clean clothes mean little if a baby cannot sleep safely at night.
We’re raising £1,000 to provide:
10 Moses baskets (£50 each)
10 travel cots (£50 each)
That’s 20 babies in Eccles who will have somewhere safe to sleep this winter.
The need is real. Last year, our Baby Bank provided almost 250 cots and baskets across Salford. The demand is not going down — if anything, it’s rising. Our Eccles team makes sure local families are prioritised.
Your gift will make a life-changing difference:
£10 helps towards the cost of a cot or basket.
£25 gets a struggling family halfway there.
£50 gives a baby in Eccles a safe bed of their own.

Because no parent should have to choose between heating the home and buying their baby a safe place to sleep.
