No one should grow old feeling forgotten.

But in Salford, too many older people live with isolation, loneliness, and even poverty. One in four face depression. Millions of pounds in unclaimed pension credits go uncollected leaving vulnerable residents cold, hungry, and without the support they need.

That’s why we run our Very Important Pensioner (VIP) events.

These gatherings bring over 120 older residents together at Eccles Town Hall for a warm meal, live entertainment, and — most importantly — a chance to connect. While they enjoy themselves, support services are there to quietly help people access pension credits and other benefits, without stigma or embarrassment.

We’re raising £1,000 to provide:

Hot and cold meals for 120 guests at our next VIP event. And a welcoming, dignified experience that shows older residents they matter.
