We don’t think anyone in our community should have to go hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks, combatting poverty and hunger in the UK

Story

Salisbury Foodbank Food Fund

Every day we see more evidence that the cost of living crisis is having a big impact on the number of people who have no choice but to access the foodbank service.

The level of stock we are giving out does not meet the level of stock we receive. It is usually a handful of specific items we run short of, but sadly we are increasingly running short of more and more essential food items.

We want to ensure we can continue to offer the nutritionally balanced emergency food parcel to people in need locally. This box should contain three meals a day for three days; and include enough food for each family member.

Our tonnage deficit in 2024 so far (March) is 5233.2 KG
