Samuel Lucas JMI are collecting donations on behalf of Feed up Warm Up

Feed Up Warm Up is a North Hertfordshire based charity supporting those who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness. We operate 2 weekly drop in centres in Hitchin and Stevenage where anybody is welcome to come and spend the evening with us. We offer live music, counselling services, a hot meal, free haircuts, food parcels, addiction advice and a warm welcoming smile and a chat. We support on average 100 guests a week between both drop in services. We also have an outreach team who respond to local referrals from other charities and agencies. During the pandemic we have reached out to local struggling families who have been directly impacted by the pandemic by delivering weekly food parcels and other support services. Through this particular service we have made up and delivered over 2600 food parcels which equates to 11,000 individuals since April 2020. We are funded purely by donations from kind members of the public and local businesses. Our belief is that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, kindness, equality and included in the local community.

Story

We’re Feed Up Warm Up, a homeless charity in Hertfordshire. We offer food, friendship and support to homeless people, and those at risk of homelessness in Hertfordshire.

We run 2 drop in’s in Hitchin and Stevenage with volunteers on a weekly basis to provide a hot meal and a takeaway food parcel. We provide around 400 hot meals and food parcels a month.

We also provide outreach support on the streets to help with temporary accommodation, shelter or a friendly ear of support.

We have a small group of volunteer drivers to collect and deliver food donations and other items and help make best use of them to those in the most need.
