It's only a few days now before Sam runs the London Marathon on Sunday 27th April.

I'm thrilled to share that I’ve been lucky enough to secure a spot in one of the world’s most iconic races - the London Marathon! On 27th April 2025, I’ll be tackling the 26.2-mile (42km) course.
Running has been a passion of mine for the past 15 years. Ever since I was a child, watching the London Marathon on TV with my family, I’ve dreamed of taking part. After 10 years of entering the ballot, this is the first time I’ve been selected, and I feel incredibly fortunate. That’s why I want to make this experience even more meaningful by raising money for CRCB, a charity close to my heart.
CRCB does amazing work supporting blind and partially sighted people in the Coventry area. I first learned about the charity through my wife, Helen, who serves as a Trustee of the charity. Over a decade ago, I also volunteered with CRCB and saw first-hand the vital impact they have. I know every donation will be put to great use.
In 2009, I raised funds for CRCB by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and now I’m excited to support them again through this marathon challenge.
Running is a big part of my life. I love joining my son Theo for weekly park runs and staying motivated with my local social running group. I am following a 16-week training plan, aiming to cross the finish line in under 4 hours!
