Story
Alice Hendy lost her only sibling, her brother Josh, on 25th November 2020 to suicide.
Josh had been searching the internet for ways to take his own life. To ensure more help and support is given to people searching for harmful content online, Alice set up Ripple Suicide Prevention Charity.
The charity’s pioneering technology protects people online at their most vulnerable moments. It intercepts harmful searches related to self-harm, suicide, substance misuse, eating disorders, gambling harms, and other mental health challenges, offering a message of hope and guiding people to free mental health support.
It is forever free for individuals, parents, guardians, schools, colleges, universities and registered charities worldwide.
On 10 December, the evening after Josh’s birthday, the Ripple team, friends, are supporters we are taking to the streets of London with Santa suits – honouring Josh’s memory while raising funds for Ripple Suicide Prevention.
Every pound raised helps Ripple technology protect people online and give them pathways to hope and support.
