Hi all, I ran the Norfolk Marathon (a very hilly course from Cromer through Poppyland towards North Walsham, and back to Cromer) on the 28th of April. I don’t particularly like asking for charity donations, so I thought that I’d make it more value for money by doing a 2-for-1 by running the Wymondham AC 20 mile race on the 23rd of March as well.
WYMONDHAM UPDATE:
I completed a very windy and exposed Wymondham AC 20 mile race in a chip time of 03:01:33. My aim was to complete it like a training run, rather than a flat out race, so as not to risk injury preventing me running the Norfolk Marathon. Thank you very much any donations. I feel surprisingly good and normal today – running must be good for me! The results can be viewed at: totalracetiming.co.uk/raceresults/474
MARATHON MANAGED:
The Norfolk Marathon was certainly unexpected, with heavy rain overnight, and during the run, leaving flooded roads to run through, in addition to the hills and wind! Given the conditions, only 946 out of 1,200 entrants finished. I was very pleased to keep to my plan and achieve a sub-four hour 03:55:28.5: https://totalracetiming.co.uk/raceresults/458
Please donate if you can.
Thank you very much for all of the support along the route, and at the end, which was much appreciated and provided a real boost.
