SARA is the largest multi-disciplinary search and rescue organisation in the UK. It operates inshore lifeboats on the tidal Severn, Wye and Usk, and provides inland water and land search & rescue throughout the Severn Area, 24x7x365 with over 150 qualified all-volunteer crew from 6 Stations.

Story

This year, our volunteer search and rescue team will be taking part in the Crudwell 24 Hour “Le Mans” Bike Ride — not only as riders, but also providing 24-hour first aid cover throughout the event.

Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) is entirely volunteer-run and donation-funded. Every rescue, every training exercise, every vehicle deployment and every piece of specialist equipment relies on the generosity of public support.

The money raised from this challenge will help fund essential PPE and rescue equipment for the SARA Cotswolds Station — helping us remain rescue-ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

When the call comes in, our volunteers leave their homes, families and workplaces to help people in danger across challenging terrain and difficult conditions. Your support helps make that possible.

Whether you donate £2, £20 or £200! Every contribution genuinely makes a difference and helps keep our team operational for the communities we serve.

Thank you for supporting Severn Rescue.
