SARA Tewkesbury are raising vital funds to buy protective equipment for crew.

We provide Search and Rescue services across Tewkesbury and the surrounding areas specialising in the following areas.

Land Search: we search rural areas in support of the police looking to missing/ vulnerable people. It costs approximately £350 to equip a volunteer with the necessary safety equipment. We are Trained to the Mountain Rescue England & Wales standard.

Rope Rescue: Our Rope Team operate on cliffs and steep ground, the safety equipment for this role costs approximately £1400 per operator.

Flood and Swift Water rescue: Tewkesbury and the surrounding areas regularly suffer from flooding and the SARA Tewkesbury team regularly train and are at readiness to respond. It costs about £1500 to safely equip a technician to operate in this environment.
