For the second year running Settle Pool has entered a team in the Skipton Rotary Club dragonboat regatta to be held at the Coniston Hotel lake on Sunday 14 May.

Last year the paddlers made a big contribution to the fund raising for the solar panels that now adorn the pool roof and help to reduce the sizeable heating bill.

This year the aim is to raise funds for a further bank of panels that will help make the pool more energy efficient and greener still. Importantly they will help secure the future of the pool when many other pools across the country have closed in the last year due to the rise in energy and maintenance costs.

The enthusiastic crew members are now in training for the big paddle.
