On the banks of the holy river Ganga, in the blissful Parmarth Niketan Ashram, nine UK dental students working with Dr Upen Patel, Dr Ketan Patel, Dr Prita Parmar, Dr Drupti Jogia, Dr Maya Dabhi and local doctors and dentists in India, have volunteered to provide Dental and Medical health care to the underprivileged population of the rural Himalayan region.

Satya Samaj UK in association with the University of Birmingham, would like to announce a volunteer led Dental, Diabetes and Asthma Camp in March 2019. In addition to Dental health checks, the 2019 camp will also host a Diabetes and Asthma screening facility, to aid diagnosis and provide lifestyle advice to help control these conditions and improve the quality of these people's lives.

Satya Samaj UK has provided Health camps for the past 15 years. Our last camp in April 2018 was a huge success with £15,000 raised. Over 300 adults and 200 children received free dental check-ups and dental preventative treatments. Each patient was given a toothbrush, toothpaste, brushing instructions and diet advice. Antibiotics, dental fillings and extractions were provided to those in need of treatment.

At our 2014 camp we provided prosthetic limbs for both adults and children. We raised over £10,000 and provided prosthetic limbs for over 250 people which spanned over 7 days. This included giving an 8 year old young boy, who had never walked before, a new lease of life by providing him with two prosthetic limbs.

In November 2007 Satya Samaj UK conducted a Surgical camp. We raised £8000 and treated over 400 patients of which 154 were ENT patients, 138 eye patients and provided 80 hysterectomy surgeries.

Satya Samaj UK conducted a Medical camp in February 2006. We raised £7,000 and with the help of 8 specialist doctors, 1 pathologist, 12 nursing staff and 18 volunteers we managed to treat over 500 patients.

In March 2005 we conducted two Eye camps. We raised £5,000 and treated 350 patience of which 79 were cataract operation and 250 pre-scripted spectacles were supplied.
