Help Biscuit & Upsydaisy Beat FIP 💛🐾

Two of our beloved kittens, Biscuit and Upsydaisy, have recently been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) – a cruel disease that, until very recently, was considered untreatable. Thanks to new treatments, these kittens have a chance.

No cat should suffer or be put to sleep unnecessarily. Every cat deserves shelter, food, care, and compassion. We rescue, protect, and rehome cats, while promoting neutering and supporting feral communities—giving every cat the chance of a loving forever home.

Story

💛 Biscuit & Upsydaisy – 2 month Update 💛

Our brave little fighters have had another trip to the vet this week for their blood tests, and we wanted to share an update with all of you who’ve been cheering them on. 🐾

The tests showed that both Biscuit and Upsydaisy’s acid glycoprotein levels have increased, which means their bodies are still fighting hard. To help them absorb their medication more effectively, their treatment has now been increased to twice a day instead of once. It’s a delicate balance, and our vets are monitoring them closely.

The latest profile photo shows them on their way to the vet — still side by side, still full of trust and love. ❤️

Each set of blood tests has to be sent to a specialist lab at a university in Glasgow, which makes them expensive, but they’re absolutely vital for tracking how well the kittens are responding to treatment and adjusting their doses safely.

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve come so far — but we still need your help. These tests and the ongoing medication costs add up quickly, and every donation, no matter how small, truly helps keep Biscuit and Upsydaisy’s treatment going.

Please continue to share their story and donate if you can. Your kindness is giving them the chance at a healthy, happy life — something they simply wouldn’t have without you. 💛

4½ Week Update (check out some of the latest photos!) 💛

We’re so happy to share that both Biscuit and Upsydaisy are responding really well to their FIP treatment! 🐾

Four and a half weeks in, they’re eating again, playful, and each has put on over half a kilo. Their energy is returning, and their personalities are shining through — cheeky Biscuit never misses a meal, and gentle Upsydaisy is back to enjoying her cuddles.

Upsydaisy still has a slight temperature, which is normal during FIP recovery, but she’s holding strong. The treatment really is a miracle, giving them the chance at a life that once seemed impossible — but it’s also incredibly expensive.

So far, we’ve raised £660 (thank you!) and already spent over £1,000 on medication, vet visits, and blood tests to keep their treatment on track. The full course will cost much more, but we know they’re worth every penny. 💛

Please, if you can, keep sharing their story or make a donation to help us reach our £4,000 goal. Every pound brings Biscuit and Upsydaisy closer to full health and a happy future.

Thank you for being part of their journey — we couldn’t do this without you. 🐱💛

💛 Help Biscuit & Upsydaisy Beat FIP 💛

Two of our beloved kittens, Biscuit and Upsydaisy, have recently been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) – a cruel disease that, until very recently, was considered untreatable.

But there is hope. Thanks to new treatments, these sweet kittens now have a real chance of survival – if we can raise the funds to cover the intensive medication, vet monitoring, and ongoing care they need.

🐾 About Biscuit & Upsydaisy

They came into Harrogate Cat Rescue as tiny, fragile bundles of fur, and quickly stole the hearts of everyone who met them. Biscuit’s cheeky charm and Upsydaisy’s gentle purrs remind us every day why we do this work. They deserve the chance to grow up, to play, to be loved – to have a future.

💔 The Challenge We Face

As a small, volunteer-led charity, Harrogate Cat Rescue never turns away a cat or kitten in need, no matter how stretched we are. Right now, our resources are under huge pressure, but we are determined to fight for Biscuit and Upsydaisy.

Their treatment and care will cost at least £4,000 – far more than we can manage alone.

🐾 The Road Ahead for Biscuit & Upsydaisy

FIP treatment isn’t a quick fix. It’s a long and demanding journey — but one that can truly save their lives.

Every single day for around 12 weeks, Biscuit and Upsydaisy will need their medication. It has to be given on time and without fail — because missing even one dose could set them back. The medicine is powerful, and it works, but it comes at a huge cost.

Throughout the treatment, they’ll need regular blood tests and vet visits. These check-ups make sure the medication is doing its job, and that their tiny bodies are strong enough to keep going. Each test, each consultation, adds to the cost — but also adds to their chances of survival.

Some days will be hard. They may feel tired, or sore after vet visits. Relapses are possible, which might mean the treatment has to be extended. But there are also the beautiful, hopeful moments — a brighter sparkle in their eyes, a stronger appetite, a little more energy to play. These small steps show us that the treatment is working.

💛 With your support, we can make sure Biscuit and Upsydaisy get through every week of this journey, until the day they’re declared healthy, playful, and ready for the long, happy lives they deserve.

✨ How You Can Help

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference:

- £10 could cover a day’s medication

- £25 could help pay for vital blood tests and monitoring

- £50 could cover a specialist vet consultation

Your support will give Biscuit and Upsydaisy the chance to grow into the healthy, happy cats they deserve to be.

If you can’t donate, please share their story. Together, we can turn what might have been their ending into the start of a brighter future.

Thank you for standing with us – and with Biscuit and Upsydaisy.
