Saving babies from their first breath - advancing neonatal intensive care in Vietnam to help close the gap between developing and developed world standards of newborn care. Our work addresses the critical shortage of nurses, trained health workers and basic specialist lifesaving equipment.

Story

The current COVID outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is having a devastating effect on newborns.

COVID infected pregnant women are having to have their pregnancies terminated or have emergency C section births, and there are a growing number of pre-term and sick babies, some COVID infected, some without their mothers who did not survive.

Even before the COVID pandemic such babies needed specialist equipment to help them breathe, but now the hospitals in HCMC that are experts in sick neonatal care just don't have enough of this equipment.

We are want to raise $250k to buy essential equipment that will save babies lives!

For Tu Du Hospital we want to buy: 4 Incubators, 2 Neonatal Ventilators and 2 CPAP machines.

For Hung Vuong Hospital we want to buy: 4 Incubators and 2 Neonatal Ventilators.
