Story
The impact of Dog A.I.D.'s work is lifechanging, but we are facing closure unless we raise £100,000 by 15 November.
Dog A.I.D. supports physically Disabled people to train their own pet dog to become their Assistance Dog. Trained dogs support their owners to live more independent, fulfilling lives, by helping them with all kinds of everyday tasks, from unloading the washing machine, to getting dressed, and make people feel safer, and more confident.
Please donate what you can today, to help us continue supporting people like Becca:
“After my injury, I was told I would never have a ‘normal’ life — that I’d never work, live independently, or manage without carers. But thanks to Luna, my fully qualified Assistance Dog, that’s exactly what I’m doing.
The impact of having an Assistance Dog is almost impossible to put into words. Luna has given me confidence, freedom, and a sense of safety I didn’t have before.”
With Dog A.I.D.’s help, I’ve built a life filled with purpose, independence, and joy.”

IMPORTANT UPDATE, 7 Nov 2025:
Due to the generous support Dog A.I.D. has received since our Emergency Appeal was launched, we have been able to raise £41,058.60 so far.
This will enable us to keep the charity going for a little while longer and gives us until 15 January 2026 now to raise the remaining funds we need to be able to continue delivering our services for the year ahead.
Every donation has made a difference and we’re so grateful to everyone who has contributed so far, but we still urgently need to raise another £59,000 to protect DogA.I.D. from closing and be able to support everyone who needs us.
Dog A.I.D. is still in an emergency situation and is at risk of closure if we do not raise £100,000 by 15 January. Thank you so much for whatever you are able to donate.
