Help save the Fitzrovia Advice Service

We need your help to prevent the Fitzrovia Advice Service from closing. It provides critical support to vulnerable members of our community experiencing financial hardship, insecure housing, disability, language barriers and mental-health challenges.

Based in the heart of Central London, Fitzrovia Community Centre (FCC) is a community hub which brings together local residents, businesses, public services and community organisations to share skills, talents and ideas.

Story

We did it! Thanks to your generosity, the Fitzrovia Advice Service is safe for one year! But let's keep going...

We now have enough funding to sustain the service for one year as it is now, at three days per week. Our long-term aim is to extend it to four days per week, so that we can help everyone who needs our support.

The ongoing cost-of-living crisis has led so many more people to ask us for support. Between 2023 and 2024 we saw a 55% increase in number of cases - that's over 1.5 times what the service was set up to provide.

With additional funding for a fourth day per week, our Advice Workers would be able to meet this unprecedented demand - vulnerable people in times of crisis would not have to be turned away.

With one conversation we can save them from breaking point"

The service provides free, bilingual benefits, housing, debt and fuel-poverty advice to some of our most vulnerable residents in Camden and Westminster. What makes our service unique is that it is multilingual. Advice can be given in English, Bengali, Sylheti, Urdu and Hindi.

We are grateful for any contribution you can spare to support this invaluable service for our most vulnerable residents.

Advice is not just information - it's protection"
