HELP SAVE HEATHROW SPECIAL NEEDS CENTRE
Our future is at risk, and we urgently need your help.
For over 40 years, Heathrow Special Needs Centre has provided a welcoming and inclusive environment where people with disabilities and additional needs can enjoy meaningful interaction with animals and nature.
Home to more than 65 animals, our centre welcomes over 8,400 visits every year, providing opportunities for social interaction, learning, confidence-building and enjoyment in a peaceful farm environment.
For some of our visitors, coming to the centre is the highlight of their week and one of their few opportunities to get out and socialise.
Why we urgently need your support.
Unfortunately, rising costs, insufficient funding and ongoing uncertainty surrounding airport expansion have left us facing a serious financial crisis.
Despite the dedication of our staff, trustees and volunteers, we are currently operating at a loss of approximately £3,000 every month, and the majority of our financial reserves have been exhausted.
Without immediate additional funding, we face having to drastically reduce the services we provide to our visitors.
We are urgently trying to raise £30,000 to help protect the future of Heathrow Special Needs Centre.
Alongside this appeal, our trustees are actively developing a long-term financial sustainability strategy, including corporate partnerships, new fundraising initiatives and additional income-generating activities.
Our aim is not simply to overcome the immediate financial crisis, but to establish a secure future for the centre and the people who rely on it.
