Save the team: stop ocean plastics!
In the last year Yadi, Asri and Adit, our team in Indonesia, have implemented community-led approaches which have stopped 3 tonnes of plastic entering our oceans. Whether its a one-off donation or a regular amount we desperately need your help so they can do even more.
CLEAR's team is mobilising Indonesian villagers to develop recycling centres, called Waste Banks. Village waste is collected, sorted and sold making villages and oceans cleaner and providing a small income to the volunteers who collect waste. Last year 8.75 tonnes of waste was recycled across 13 villages, including 3 tonnes of plastic. The models our team are developing can spread and have a massive impact: Indonesia is responsible for 15% of all the plastic that ends up in our oceans.
£4000 is needed urgently to renew the team's contracts in April. Please be generous. Any amount will help, and a regular donation will enable them to plan ahead and make the most impact in 2023.
CLEAR needs your help to tackle ocean plastics!
