Every Child Deserves a Little Christmas Magic

Christmas is a time for laughter, excitement, family traditions and making memories. It is the anticipation of something special, the joy of being together and those wonderful moments that stay with us long after the decorations have been packed away.

At the South African Children's Charitable Trust, we believe every child deserves to experience that magic.

That is why, each year, we launch our Xmas Wish Appeal, raising funds to give children and young people in South Africa a Christmas filled with happiness, adventures and unforgettable experiences.

This year, we would love your help to make Christmas 2026 extra special!

In South Africa, Christmas falls right in the middle of summer, marking the beginning of a six-week school holiday.

Imagine six weeks stretching ahead, filled with possibilities. Days to explore, adventures to enjoy, new experiences to discover and, most importantly, time to simply be a child.

Our appeal helps make those possibilities a reality.

Your donations help fund:

Christmas celebrations – festive meals, treats, gifts and special moments together.

Exciting outings and adventures – opportunities to explore, discover and experience something new.

Holiday activities – fun, games, creativity and opportunities to learn new skills.

Shared experiences – laughter, friendships and the joy of making memories together.

Some of the happiest childhood memories come from the simplest moments: a day out with friends, trying something for the first time, laughing until your tummy hurts or feeling the excitement of a special surprise. These are the moments we want to create because childhood should be filled with memories of what you experienced, not just what you received.
