The Cornish Seal Sanctuary urgently needs your help to raise £4,000 for a replacement set of specialist scales for the team to care for our resident seals and sea lions. Scales are a crucial piece of kit for the animal care team, ensuring all the animals are monitored correctly and that they maintain a healthy weight. Unfortunately, our scales have broken recently and after suffering significant losses due to the national lockdowns, we need your help to bring new ones.

This may seem a lot for scales, however due to the nature of our work we need a very specific kind. As we care for marine animals, the scales needed must be waterproof. They must also be wireless to allow us to move them to the pools and reduce stressful moving of the animals. And of course, they must be capable of holding heavy loads - our boy Noito is a hefty 339kg!
