The 7th Royston (Barkway) Scout Group was formed in 1985 and is now based in Barley, North Herts. Our group has been helping the children in the surrounding community get outside and develop their life skills for generations. Scouting offers them opportunities that are becoming increasingly important - time away from screens, to learn about and engage with their environment, community and each other.

We want to make sure it can continue for the generations to come but our much loved scout hut is in need of replacing so we continue to have a home to come together an meet.

We're also excited that the new building will be built to serve the wider community too; the village school for PE and wet play and the village residents for events on the recreation ground that sits behind it.
