CAMPAIGN UPDATE
For the Love of Scrubs is a recently formed community volunteer group founded by local NHS Senior A&E Nurse Ashleigh Linsdell.
Her original aim was to produce scrubs to be used in the NHS, following a nationwide shortage during this covid-19 pandemic.
Although NHS supply chains are now improving, these scrubs, scrubs laundry bags and other accessories are still needed as cries for help have gone out from 140 of the NHS and Foundation Trusts, GPs and other primary care providers, the voluntary sector, private providers, hospices and the air ambulance and other facilities, both in our area and Nationally.
Now a nationwide enterprise, with over 53,000 volunteers all eager to support and protect our front-line health workers, the For the Love of Scrubs community teams are all champing at the bit to Sew More and Save Lives. What they need is the fabric and haberdashery, and it's this that we at Rotary in Ramsey are hoping you can help them with. We've made a start by donating £500, but much more is needed to see us through this Covid-19 pandemic.
Every penny that we receive from this campaign will go towards the production and delivery of the scrubs and accessories to our front-line staff.
Not that we're expecting it, but we're obliged to tell you that if there are any surplus funds at the end of this campaign then they will be donated to charities supported by Rotary both in the UK and overseas.
