Story
The cost of living crisis has led to an enormous increase in demand for our services, here at South Derbyshire CVS. We support some of the most vulnerable people within our communities across South Derbyshire and we know this year will bring even more challenges for us to respond to. Thats why were appealing for your financial support - so that we can make sure nobody goes hungry, is left isolated or struggling with their mental health in the weeks and months to come.
Last year our Foodbank supported 1,698 adults and 1,195 children. This year we're seeing a huge increase in demand and thats going to continue to grow as prices rise further.
We're also playing a vital role in tackling loneliness. Our volunteers and staff have made almost 3000 hours of calls this year so that isolated people across South Derbyshire had somebody to talk to when they needed a friend.
As the pressures of life become even greater and people struggle with their mental health, our experienced team are on hand to provide support, advocacy, and a listening ear.
Whether you're an individual, part of a group , club or a business based in South Derbyshire, a donation today can make a significant impact in peoples lives.
It could help pay for more food parcels.
It could ensure people don't feel isolated and alone.
It could provide timely support to those struggling to cope.
We want to make South Derbyshire a better place for everybody and make sure nobody gets left behind.
Whilst we know that these are difficult times for a lot of people, if you are in a position to help, then now is the time to do it and for the benefit of those in South Derbyshire.
