Story
South Derbyshire Music Centre has a long tradition of bringing children and young people together to make music, build confidence and form lasting friendships. We provide exciting opportunities for young musicians of all abilities to rehearse, perform and grow in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Take a look at what we do — and if you’re interested, come along and see for yourself.
Our team of fully qualified music teachers are all accredited by the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership, and every member of staff holds an up-to-date DBS check, ensuring a safe and secure setting for all our members.
Children are welcome to attend as many ensembles each week as recommended by our teachers, allowing them to broaden their experience and develop a wide range of musical skills.
South Derbyshire Music Centre is self-financed through pupils’ subscriptions, grants and generous donations. We are a registered charity (No. 1008568). We are committed to making music accessible to everyone and offer financial support to families who may need assistance with subscription costs.
