Story
For most of us, Christmas means family, familiar traditions and feeling safe at home. For children in care, it can be very different.
Christmas can bring back difficult memories of times when things were not okay. It can stir up feelings of loss, of missing people, and of not knowing where they belong. While the rest of the world is celebrating, some of the young people we care for are quietly carrying a great deal.
At Seamab, we cannot change the past. But we can help make this Christmas different.
This year we want to give every young person in our care and school magic moments of their own. Walking through a sparkling Christmas light show. Meeting Santa and seeing their face light up. Laughing together at the pantomime. Sharing a festive meal out, just like any other family.
Moments like these do more than fill a day. They show a child that they matter, that they belong, and that Christmas can feel safe and joyful again. They become the good memories that start to sit alongside the hard ones.
We cannot do it without you.
Please donate today. Whether you give £10 or £100, your gift will help a young person make a Christmas memory they will carry for the rest of their lives. Give a child a Christmas worth remembering.
