Pendleside Hospice believes in nurturing and caring for those in our local community affected by advancing long term and life limiting illness, through to end of life care and bereavement, by providing a range of comprehensive and easily accessible services to support them on their journey.

Story

The Pendleside Warriors is lead by Shaun Foxcroft and are a group of people who have come together to support Pendleside Hospice. The challenges that Pendleside Hospice face can be difficult yet, through this project you can offer your support.

Businesses, Community Groups, and Individuals can sign up as warriors.

Simply create a justgiving page via the campaign page and encourage your family and friends to do the same, then complete a fundraising event in the name of The Pendleside Warriors. Whatever you do to fundraise every penny counts.

We would like you to show your support for the hospice by joining in with this fundraising.

Some of the physical challenges the Warriors are planning include running, cycling or walking from Pendleside Hospice to Pendle Hill and back. The distance is approximately 20km or 12 miles. This can be completed on any day and time to suit you.

Shaun, your lead Warrior, has done the Dragons Back Race (380K) in Wales in September 2021.

Next, Shaun is taking part in the extreme challenge of walking from Lands End to John O'Groats, which is a 1,900km route stretching the length of the UK, and will take approximately 60 days to complete, linking the two extremities of Lands End in the southwest and John O'Groats in the northeast.

We initially aim for The Pendleside Warriors campaign to continue until £1 million is raised for the Hospice, so please don't stop your fundraising.

All donations made via the text "SHAUN" campaign have been included in this page's total within offline donations.

Thank you for all your support, donations and participation in the Pendleside Warriors and keep your eye out for our next venture!
