Supporting Seashells 2026

Organised by Children & Families

Friends of Seashells are raising funds to support Seashells Children and Families Centre in 2026. Every donation creates more opportunities for children to get the best start in life, thrive, and give families the support they need.

Closes 31/03/2026

We are a children’s charity that aims to address child poverty by providing Family Hubs, Nurseries, Food Banks, Pantry’s and FareShare Kent. Our work broadly focuses on ensuring that children can be healthy, stay safe, enjoy & achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic wellbeing.

Story

Seashells Children and Families Centre has been a vital part of the Sheerness community for many years. A place where children play, learn and grow, and where families find friendship, support and guidance.

Due to funding cuts, our services were decommissioned by Kent County Council. But the need for free, accessible support has not gone away.

That’s why Friends of Seashells are raising funds to help keep our centre running and open to all. We’re committed to continuing the work we do: offering stay and play sessions, parenting support, family advice, and a warm, welcoming space for everyone who needs it.

Every donation ill help us create more opportunities for children to get the best start in life, go on to thrive, and support the whole family along the way.

Together, we can keep Seashells at the heart of Sheerness for generations to come.

Thank you for your support.
