Old Tafo Primary School in the Eastern region of Ghana is full of life and excitement on a normal day. Children from the local area come here, not just for a chance of education, but also because it gives them a sense of stability in an often unstable life. School offers them a chance for a better future, something more than just being another street seller. Here, many children will also receive their main meal of the day as, for some, finding food at home can be challenge. So, if that is interrupted, as it is now because of the storm damage, then it’s more than a little learning that is lost. SEPIA is working with the village community in Old Tafo to raise funds locally but they will also need our help if we are to get the school running again this year.
