Story
24 intrepid explorers are setting out for 3 days hiking on remote mountain trails in the Fiz Massif mountain range adjoining Mont Blanc in the French Alps. They will be hiking to altitudes of over 2300m (almost double the height of Ben Nevis), carrying all their own equipment and sleeping in remote mountain refuges.
Now in its 2nd year, the Alpine Challenge is one of St Georges biggest fundraisers and this year the school needs the funds more than ever. Rising inflation and food costs in Ethiopia have increased 500% -700% and are having a dramatic impact on St George's and the support needed to help these children. In recent months due to the influx of refugees from Sudan there has been civil unrest and intermittent local lockdowns due to military interventions to protect the Gondar region where St George's is located. In order to get food supplies in such difficult times, we really need your help more than ever to support the children. All of your donations will go directly to the school to keep these vulnerable children within the safety of St George's School. St George's provides these children with:
A completely free education
Two nutritious meals a day
All educational resources
Healthcare and development checks
School uniform
Transport to and from the school
You can change lives today by supporting the St. George's School Alpine Challenge! Thank you so much for supporting this very worthy challenge!
