Beautiful Shahad has been adopted and now has a loving forever home waiting for her in Scotland. This fundraiser is to help cover Shahad’s flight and pet taxi costs, so she can finally leave Bahrain behind and begin the safe, happy future she has fought so hard for.

💗 Shahad’s Story

Shahad’s story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and incredible courage.

She was first found at a stray feeding area after being cruelly abandoned. At first glance, she appeared healthy enough — just another frightened cat trying to survive after losing everything familiar. But only days later, rescuers discovered something devastating.

Shahad was lying on the ground in severe pain. She couldn’t stand.

A veterinary examination revealed the heartbreaking truth — this tiny little girl had a broken hip. Already abandoned and alone, Shahad was now facing pain, fear, and uncertainty too.

What followed was not easy.

For an entire month, Shahad endured strict cage rest, treatment, and recovery. For an active, playful little cat, being confined and unable to move freely was incredibly difficult. But Shahad kept fighting. Day after day, this brave little girl showed everyone just how strong she truly was.

And slowly… she recovered.

Today, Shahad is walking normally again — a remarkable recovery for such a tiny cat who has already overcome so much.

Now safe and loved, Shahad is finally blossoming into the cat she was always meant to be.

At just 2.5kg, she may be tiny, but her personality is anything but small. She is sweet, affectionate, curious, and full of life. She loves attention, enjoys curling up for cuddles, and happily settles onto laps when she wants closeness and comfort.

She also has a wonderfully playful side. Balls, catnip toys, climbing cat trees, and exploring her surroundings are some of her favourite things. Watching Shahad play now is a beautiful reminder of how far she has come from the frightened, injured cat who could barely stand.

After everything she has endured — abandonment, pain, recovery, and learning to trust again — Shahad finally has what she has always deserved: a forever home waiting for her in Scotland. A family ready to love her, protect her, and make sure she never has to suffer alone again.
