As the monsoon season approaches in Bangladesh, thousands of families brace themselves, not knowing if their homes will survive the rains. Most live in fragile structures made from mud and tin. Roofs leak relentlessly. Floors turn to mud. Belongings are destroyed overnight.

For families without a male breadwinner, the dangers are even greater. Women and girls are forced to use outdoor toilets after dark, facing fear and insecurity every night.
