Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh 🙏

There are stories that inspire the strength, bravery, and deep love of the Sikh community — stories that remind us what it truly means to live in seva and stand for the Panth.

Shaheed Bhai Manjit Singh and Shaheed Bhai Hira Singh dedicated their lives in seva of the Panth. From a young age, they immersed themselves in Gurbani through Damdami Taksal, later serving alongside Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

They lived with discipline, compassion, and complete dedication — even refusing to use Panthic funds for personal needs. Their lives were not about themselves, but about seva, faith, and uplifting others. Bhai Manjit Singh would listen to the pain of those who came and guide them towards Maharaj, embodying true humility and service.

After the tragic events of Operation Blue Star, both brothers endured immense hardship — arrests, torture, and persecution. Yet, their spirit remained unshaken.

In 1992, Bhai Manjit Singh fought bravely for 48 hours before attaining shaheedi. Soon after, Bhai Hira Singh was also martyred.

Their parents, unable to bear the loss, also passed away.

Today, only their elder brother Tarsem Singh remains — a 65-year-old labourer who has carried the weight of this sacrifice for decades.

The family sold all their land to free the brothers from jail.

They were left with nothing.

Their home is in a heartbreaking condition —

When it rains, water pours through the roof.

Survival itself has become a daily struggle.
