Story
This Valentines ESTEEM needs your support to Share the Love.
Your donation of £2 will allow us to send a card to an older person who needs some love this Valentines Day.
Leave a donation message as your "message for the charity" and we will put this message into your card - to be shared with someone who might need that little extra love.
We all know the last year has been hard and that there are some older people who may not have seen loved ones for a long time, or have loved ones to see at all. We want to help raise their spirits by giving them a little bit of love.
If you would like to make a donation by cash or cheque please email fundraising@esteem.org.uk
The designs
The cards are being designed by young adults from ESTEEM, a charity based in Shoreham. ESTEEM provides support for young adults aged 14 - 26 who are transitioning from education to employment. We provide opportunities to improve employability skills and increase wellbeing to allow young adults to reach their full potential. Our creative ESTEEM Inc sessions provide a creative outlet for young adults, providing the opportunity to hone their design skills, learn about owning a creative business and to provide positive mental wellbeing. You can read more about ESTEEM here - www.esteem.org.uk
Card recipients
We are working with AgeUK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove to make sure all of their recipients receive a special message this valentine's day. AgeUK WSBH is a local, independent charity, that works with people over 50 in our area, supporting and empowering them to make the most of later life. You can see more about them here - http://www.ageukwsbh.org.uk/
The printer
Our amazing friends at Swan Press Ltd are very kindly professionally printing the cards for us - to show their support for local older people. So a huge thank you to them for all of their support. You can find out more about them here - https://swanpress.co.uk/
Sharing the love safely
To ensure we are protecting both our young people and the older people, we are following all relevant government guidelines on distancing and hygiene. Guidance from specific supporting bodies has also been taken to ensure we do not put anyone at risk.
