Catalyst Care Group will be hosting their very first Catalyst Foundation 5-a-side Football Tournament to support Catalyst Foundation's upcoming S.H.E. Camp.
They are inviting teams of 5 players to participate in this exciting event. A donation of £5 per team is required to enter. Teams are open to everyone, including clinicians, partners, and anyone willing to support Catalyst Foundation.
The event will kick off at 10:30 AM at Ironmould Lane, Bristol, BS4 4TZ, United Kingdom. The tournament will feature a small group stage followed by a grand final, where the winning team will be awarded the prestigious CATALYST CUP!
In addition to the football matches, there will be a variety of other activities throughout the day, ensuring fun for all ages—from children to adults. Come join us for a day of sport, community, and enjoyment!
Catalyst Foundation's S.H.E. (Secure, Hope, and Empowered) Programme helps young girls within rural communities across Africa receive an education. They come from families of extreme poverty, where a family of ten survive on less than 80p a day, which is frightening to believe. Because of this poverty, education is not seen as a priority, especially for girls, as survival comes first.
For these young girls, it doesn’t come easy for them. For those girls who are unable to get into education, it makes them more vulnerable, and they may become victims of child abuse, childhood rape, early marriage, childhood pregnancy, and the list goes on... This is where the SHE Programme comes in and tries to bridge this gap, one girl at a time.
Catalyst Foundation currently supports 82 girls in Zimbabwe and Zambia, who range from age 6 to age 26 years old.
Every year, Catalyst Foundation holds its S.H.E Camp during the August school holidays, which is always looked forward to by their beneficiaries tremendously. The aim of having these Camps is to encourage, educate, and empower their beneficiaries through various activities such as mentorship, teamwork, creativity, and reimagining possibilities. The impact created during their Camps has been incredible to witness! They see their girls arriving at Camp shy and quiet, and by the time the Camp has concluded, they will have all transformed into confident, young girls – full of fire and ready to take this energy back to school for the start of the new term.
The S.H.E. Camp programme assists their beneficiaries in the following areas:
- With mental stimulation and physical activity.
- To find camaraderie in peers going through similar struggles.
- Reinforce independence and empowerment through the tailored Camp programme.
- Allow for confidence to be reinforced by success, as they will award deserving beneficiaries with prizes and medals.
- Promoting creativity in an environment free from judgment, building all-round resilience.
- Instilling appreciation and gratitude, moulding humility and model behaviour.
Please donate to us so that we can help Catalyst Foundation offer a Camp that all of its beneficiaries will never forget!
