For a small school with a short history we are sure you will agree that Shiplake College has achieved great things and we have enjoyed punching above our weight, lining up against the big names, and becoming renowned for being one of the best schools for rowing nationally and internationally... and it is with pride that we can confidently say that this is the case for boys and girls.

We have been fortunate over the years to be able to provide our top boys eights with top-class boats in which to train and race. We are now in the process of looking to supply a similar level of boat to our top girls crew and we are also in need of at least one new octuple for our novice rowers lower down the school. The number of pupils rowing continues to increase and some of the current boats have been patched up and used for, in some cases, over thirty years.

To mark the Boat Club's 60th anniversary year we are pleased to launch a year-long appeal to raise much-needed funds to ensure the girls boat is at the top spec possible and that we can meet the needs of current and future boat club members.

We would be grateful for donations of any size.
