The Community Foundation covers the counties of Staffordshire and Shropshire, and has launched the Shropshire Flood Appeal in response to the recent floods caused by Storm Eunice. Although the whole of the county has not been affected there has been significant damage in areas of the county such as Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth.

People have been evacuated from their homes and had to leave behind all of their belongings. Some homes have been flooded and people have lost their belongings. Even where people have been able to return to their homes it is estimated that the clean up could take until Easter.

Every penny donated to the appeal will go to help and support individuals, families and communities that have been affected by the floods.
