Story
We’re raising funds to support groundbreaking cancer research at Sheffield Hallam University, and we need your help.
Our researchers are working on innovative projects that change lives - but they can’t do it without you.
Why our research matters
Cancer affects 1 in 2 people in the UK. At Sheffield Hallam, our scientists are specialised in several aspects of cancer research, including complex interventions, clinical trials, and behaviour change. Your help will support our innovative research into new therapies and technologies.
How you can help
Your donation — big or small — will directly support cancer research projects at Sheffield Hallam. No matter how much you give, you’re helping to fund hope, progress, and a future free from cancer.
Your donation can make a real difference to the research the university is doing in cancer research. Be a part of the change today.
Please note, this fundraising page is for donations of up to £5,000 per person. If you would like to discuss donating £5,000 or more to support cancer research at the university, please contact the Philanthropy Team for more information at hallamfund@shu.ac.uk and we will be happy to discuss your next steps.
Additional information about your donation
If you're a UK taxpayer, you can add 25% to the value of your gift. We would encourage all eligible donors to take up this scheme, which will allow us to direct additional funds to cancer research projects.
We are unable to accept anonymous donation to this fundraiser, so will ask you to share some personal information with us. You will be able to hide your name and amount to the public when you make your donation, but your details will be shared with the university for reporting purposes.
JustGiving is a service used by the university for some fundraising campaigns. A JustGiving payment processing fee of 1.9% + 30p of every donation, is incurred by the university. If you are able to cover these processing fees when you donate, it means we can use your entire donation for cancer research. You can choose to do this when you process your payment.
