The Sie Center provides the highest quality of comprehensive care to children with Down syndrome and support for their families – from the prenatal phase of life, through childhood and adolescence, up to the age of 21. Its experts coordinate medical care (including tapping into other outstanding clinics at the Children’s Hospital Colorado), speech, physical and other therapies, and educational support in order to ensure the best possible care for each child and adolescent with Down syndrome. It also serves as a resource for families and primary care doctors by providing up-to-date information and support to parents who have received a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.

The Sie Center is committed to contributing and updating evidenced-based health guidelines for people with Down syndrome. As part of the Crnic Institute, the Sie Center will actively participate in clinical research that will provide important evidence to what diseases or conditions people with Down syndrome are more susceptible to or protected from. Equally important, the Sie Center will advocate for research that provides evidence-based results regarding what medications or strategies work best for individuals with Down syndrome.
