Story
Our children matter. Their quality of life matters—and every child deserves the chance to thrive, be seen, and reach their fullest potential.
For us, this mission is deeply personal. We are passionate about serving individuals with Down syndrome because we see the joy, resilience, and unique strengths they bring to the world every single day. We believe they deserve not only exceptional medical care, but also a community that champions their growth, celebrates their individuality, and supports their families every step of the way. This is more than advocacy—it’s a commitment to building a future where every individual with Down syndrome is valued and empowered.
The Sie Center provides the highest quality of comprehensive care to children with Down syndrome and support for their families – from the prenatal phase of life, through childhood and adolescence, up to the age of 21. Its experts coordinate medical care (including tapping into other outstanding clinics at Children’s Hospital Colorado), speech, physical and other therapies, and educational support in order to ensure the best possible care for each child and adolescent with Down syndrome. It also serves as a resource for families and primary care doctors by providing up-to-date information and support to parents who have received a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.
The Sie Center is committed to contributing to and updating evidence-based health guidelines for people with Down syndrome. As part of the Crnic Institute, the Sie Center actively participates in clinical research that helps us better understand the unique health needs of individuals with Down syndrome and improve care across their lifespan.
But this life-changing work depends on support from people like you.
Your donation today directly impacts the care, research, and resources that families rely on. It helps ensure that every child with Down syndrome receives the specialized care they deserve—and that families never have to navigate this journey alone.
Please consider giving today. Together, we can create brighter futures, stronger families, and a world where every individual with Down syndrome is supported, celebrated, and given every opportunity to thrive.
