Story
James has always been a giving person, and after teaching one of Forest Sensory Services (FSS) staff members to drive, he wanted to support FSS and their important work.
What better way to do that, than by doing a 5K run BLINDFOLDED?
James will be guided around the Scrumpy Scurry, an apple orchard in Much Marcle, on 15th July. He will be able to 'sample' 3 pints of cider on route, so his lack of eyesight will be the least of his problems!
Forest Sensory Services (FSS) supports the local population and their families with sight and/or hearing loss. We run activities focusing on, reducing isolation, social interaction, accessing technology, physical activity and supporting interests and hobbies, which our members can access with subsidised transport costs. We also provide an advocacy and advice service for our clients and their families, while educating the local community.
