🌄 One Step at a Time...
On a bright spring morning, a group of children, their families, and friends will gather at the foot of Pen-y-Ghent, with boots laced, backpacks adjusted, and excitement in the air. Among them will be children taking on their very first big hill, with their families and friends encouraging each step, and supporting their every mile.
This isn’t just a walk. It’s a shared challenge, a community coming together with one purpose: to create something better for their school.
💛 Why We’re Walking
Our PTA is raising funds to improve the school’s outdoor spaces—places where children can explore, learn, and grow beyond the classroom.
Every step up the rocky paths represents more than the distance covered. It represents:
New opportunities for play and learning
Stronger connections within our community
A brighter environment for every child
It’s not just about reaching the top—it’s about what we build together along the way.
🥾 The Challenge Ahead
The climb is tough. The paths are uneven, the slopes steep, and the weather can be unforgiving. But no one will walk alone.
Encouraging words will be shared, hands will be offered, and small victories will be celebrated with every rest stop. For many children, this will be a moment they will remember forever—the day they proved to themselves they could do something hard.
“When it gets tough, we remind ourselves why we started.”

🌟 Every Step Makes a Difference
As the group reaches the summit, tired but smiling, there will be no doubt of their shared sense of pride. Not just for completing the climb—but for what it will mean for the children back at school.
Because together, step by step, we’re building something that will last long after the climb is over.
