Mr O'Malley's Marathon Challenge

Organised by Thomas's Foundation

CAIRN has challenged Simon O'Malley to complete the Royal Parks Half Marathon AND the London Marathon, in under a combined time of 5:5 hrs!

Thomas's Foundation provides educational opportunities for children in the local communities of Thomas’s London Day Schools located in Battersea, Clapham, Fulham and Kensington and, overseas, in the remote hill villages of rural Nepal. Every child deserves an enriching education.

Story

In 2019, CAIRN challenged me to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October and the London Marathon in April 2020 in a combined time of less than 5:5 hours. I managed to complete the first part of the challenge in 1:37:47 but then came Covid and I'm still waiting to run the second part!

Fortunately, I have a place in the actual London event which takes place on October 3rd. I am greatly looking forward to it and have every hope of managing to finish inside the challenge time. If you felt able to sponsor me (and thank you to all of you who have already done so) I would be most grateful.
