Story
For over 60 years Brockenhurst Choral Society has been at the heart of musical life in our village, with regular concert performances at St Saviour’s Church. Thank you to all of you who have sung with us, supported us, or enjoyed our performances over the years. We hope to see many of you at our concert on 9th May.
Today we are asking for your help. As with many choirs, it has been a challenging period since COVID, and we are currently performing with a smaller choir than pre-COVID. The cost of hiring St Saviour’s Church has increased by 55% over the past three years. Recently health and safety standards have required us to invest over £1,500 in staging improvements, which will be on display for the first time at our May concert.
We are now seeking to raise £2,000 to replenish the choir’s finances and underpin our future concert programme. We have secured matched funding of up to £1,000 for this appeal, so:
• Every pound you give will be doubled, up to £1,000
• A £20 donation becomes £40
• With Gift Aid, that £20 could be worth £50 or more to the choir
Please donate if you can
Every contribution, large or small, makes a real difference—especially while matched funding is available.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to add Gift Aid, which increases your donation at no extra cost to you.
Thank you for supporting the future of choral music in Brockenhurst.
