For the first time in over 10 years, our devoted and selfless founder is celebrating her birthday in Ecuador. The celebrations began on Friday, July 24th with a party with all of the residents and staff to celebrate birthdays in July. Our Damien House family joined together in giving gifts, singing songs, and sharing our special wishes for Sister Annie.

Even though we here in Ecuador are overjoyed to have our angel with us for her birthday, we must also recognize that it is only for the situation that our world is currently living. Normally, at this time Sister Annie returns to the States and goes on retreat with a few of the Sisters of the BVM community. After that trip, she would schedule to speak at a few churches and attend events to raise money for Damien House. Unfortunately, she will not be able to fundraise in the USA now nor in the near future.
