QS ImpACT is a UNEP-accredited charity. We are the global SDG incubator for a better world. We equip thousands of young leaders across 87 countries with skills to drive impact through strategic collaborations with universities, organisations, and communities.
The QS ImpACT SDG Skills Challenge is a global "Games-For-Good" hackathon, that upskills young people to create digital games that address key sustainability issues. Through hands-on learning experiences, participants develop essential skills such as game development, problem-solving, and project management to drive action in their communities.
These challenges are designed to help participants:
- Develop new skills: From coding and game design to leadership and project management.
- Advance the SDGs: Each game focuses on solving global issues like climate action, responsible consumption, and quality education.
- Create lasting impact: Empower youth to scale local solutions at a global stage.
- Earn global recognition: Celebrate their efforts and contributions to sustainability in our annual awards ceremony.
By supporting this campaign, you’re investing in future sustainability leaders and helping them turn their ideas into meaningful solutions.
Your donations provide critical support to empower youth participants with the tools, resources, and training they need. From funding projects to providing resources, every contribution ensures that young people have the opportunity to succeed in designing innovative games and driving meaningful change. The funds raised help financially support youth-driven projects.
Our partners have shared their positive experiences with the QS ImpACT Skills Challenge, reflecting the profound impact of the initiative.
Thomas Winkley, the technical marketing advocate from Unity Technologies shared his thoughts on the impact of the challenge:
Challenges like this are so important. Specifically for youth, because it forces you to push yourself a little bit, which allows you to learn so much better because you implement it in real life. I had the best time!
- Thomas Winkley, Unity Technologies (U.S.)
Habiba, the Vice President from J.P. Morgan Chase, highlighted the power of feedback in game development during her session:
I had the pleasure of delivering a lecture on the ‘Importance of Feedback in Game Development’ in the QS Impact Skills Challenge. It was a rewarding experience to engage with such a motivated and enthusiastic group of participants. The organisation and structure of the program were commendable, and it was evident that a lot of thought and effort went into the planning and execution. I believe it has made a significant impact on the participants.”
- Habiba Quadri, JP Morgan Chase (UK)
