Nicola Pugsley has set herself a brave challenge for 2025 - a skydive. She will be doing a 15,000ft skydive with a 60 seconds freefall, to raise vital funds for the Battens Charitable Trust.

Nicola says: “My reason for doing the jump is that I am also celebrating my 40th birthday this year and want to challenge myself, do something new, have fun and maybe overcome my fear of heights?! I thought throwing myself out of an aeroplane sounded perfect! Battens Charitable Trust have donated to some causes very close to me and I want to give something back and raise more funds so they can continue helping.”

The Battens Charitable Trust was set up in 1985 to enable grants to be made to registered charities and for charitable purposes in Somerset, Dorset and adjoining counties. In the last decade alone, the trust has donated approximately £537,000 and counting. Beneficiaries have been as diverse as local schools, youth organisations, hospitals and hospices, local foodbanks, wildlife organisations, disability groups and the arts. As Charitable Trust celebrates it’s 40th anniversary in 2025, it is more determined than ever to continue its legacy of giving back.
