Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On Saturday 2nd November 2019, two brave, daring volunteers, Luke and Connor, will be (willingly) jumping out of a plane 10,000ft above ground to raise money for the animals in rescue at Furlock Holmes Animal Care.
Furlock Holmes is an animal rescue centre in Whitchurch, Hampshire where neglected, abandoned and unwanted animals are given a second chance. Every year, hundreds of domestic pets are handed over to us from a variety of different situations. Some of these are strays, some are unwanted Christmas presents, some are too expensive for the owners to manage and some are just too much of a commitment. When they first arrive, many of these animals need urgent medical attention, are malnourished or are suffering from severe behavioural issues.
When in our care, all animals receive the necessary medical treatment and emotional support until they are completely healthy. They can then be neutered, vaccinated and, when fit and well again, they find new loving families and have a happy ending. Some animals, however, will never be healthy enough for this happy ending and so will stay with us in a permanent sanctuary space for the rest of their lives.
As a self-funded charity, we rely entirely on the generosity of people like Luke and Connor to fundraise for the work we do. They each need to raise a minimum of £450 before they can jump and we would all really appreciate any donation you can spare!
Please show your support for Luke, Connor and the animals at Furlock Holmes Animal Rescue. You can follow the skydiving story on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/furlockholmesanimalcare, or our website, www.furlockholmes.co.uk.
