Visit the charity's profileWinter is slowly creeping up on us again, where it is said that this years winter is set to be a brutally cold one! We run Nottinghamshires only 14 bed, direct access emergency accommodation hostel. As you can imagine, 14 beds is not manymeaning that unfortunately we sometimes have to turn people away (which we dont like having to do), it is a hard and upsetting thing to have to do.
This year we are appealing for donations to help us buy 20 sleeping bags, which then will be distributed to those who are homeless. Just the thought of sleeping outside in the bitter cold is daunting. Your donations will allow us to provide provisions to individuals.
A Famed actor posted a photo of himself sleeping on the street with a sleeping bag under his famous bronze statue, and sadly wrote "How times have changed"... Homelessness can happen to anyone, yourself, family or friends! Most families are now only 3 pay packets away from homelessness.
